We have been closed; however, we have been busy preparing for your return so that you can kickstart your fitness goals again. As lockdown restrictions ease, many of us are excited to get back into the gym and take part in our favourite classes. To ensure that you can train with confidence, Live Well Health Clubs are introducing new gym Covid-19 safety measures.
PROACTIVELY MOVING FORWARD
How is Live Well protecting members and staff?
The safety of our members and staff is our number one priority. We have put an extensive range of protective measures in place to ensure that we protect everyone. This includes increased cleaning specifications, hygiene stations placed in every area of the club, adhering to social distancing guidelines, and a strict ‘no towel, no training policy’.
Any staff or club member with any symptoms such as coughing, shortness of breath, fever, chills, or sneezing are asked not to come to the club. Anyone exhibiting these symptoms will be asked to leave the club immediately.
Is Live Well staffed 24/7?
The answer is yes.
With community transmission clusters of COVID-19 on the rise in New South Wales, the NSW Premier has today announced all gyms, including 24/7 facilities, must register their COVID Safety Plan and have a dedicated Hygiene Marshall on duty at all times during operational hours from 12.01 am on Saturday 1 August, 2020.
We would like to advise our members that we have a Covid-19 safety management plan in place and have registered with the NSW Government. Say “Hi” to our awesome Covi Safe Hygiene Marshall patrolling 24/7.
What social distancing measures are in place?
We are ensuring that communal facilities such as showers, change rooms and lockers have strategies in place to reduce crowding and promote physical distancing. We also have social distancing posters displayed on walls as an effective reminder.
What is the capacity of people allowed in classes?
Class bookings are a requirement and there will be no more than 10 – 15 people in each class, in respect of the per 4 square metres rule in each class zone.
What is the capacity of people allowed within the club?
123 people are permitted entry at any given time based on 1 person per 4 square metres of space. Floor and wall markings and signage are displayed to identify 1.5 metres distancing requirements.
Can I use the changing rooms/showers?
Staff are currently advising members to shower/change at home. The facilities are open, however, social distancing measures must be respected.
Are there any non-essential areas closed?
Currently, the members social lounge is blocked off.
Do I need to wear a mask?
Wearing a mask is your choice and not mandatory according to the Federal Government.
How can we reduce the risk of spreading Coronavirus (COVID-19)?
The World Health Organisation (WHO) recommends hygiene and other measures to reduce the general risk of infection:
- Frequently cleaning hands by using alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water.
- When coughing and sneezing cover mouth or nose with flexed elbow or tissue – throw the tissue away immediately and wash hands.
- Avoiding close contact with anyone who has a fever or cough.
- If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing seek medical care early and share previous travel history with your healthcare provider.
This situation is evolving and we ask members to continue to check the below websites for the latest updates and guidance:
